Base Salary
$175k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in building and maintaining data infrastructure and platform products.
- Process continuous data streams in near real time using Apache Flink.
- Build ETL processes and data pipelines using Flink, Spark, HBase, Azkaban, and Airflow.
- Collect and move large volumes of real-time data using Apache Kafka.
- Store data, run servers, monitor logs, and manage permissions using AWS services.
- Monitor system health and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Automate Unix-based tasks using Linux CLI and Bash.
- Support application development, integration, customization, software updates, and release rollouts.
- Document software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, requirements, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Quality Assurance to identify requirements and assess application fit.
- Research relevant technologies, practices, literature, and patents and evaluate competitive products.
- Guide and mentor junior-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Seven years of experience processing continuous data streams with Apache Flink and using Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and alerting.
- Five years of experience using Flink, Spark, HBase, Azkaban, and Airflow to build data pipelines and perform ETL.
- Three years of experience handling real-time data feeds with Apache Kafka.
- Experience using AWS services including S3, EC2, CloudWatch, and IAM for data storage, servers, monitoring, and permissions.
- Experience automating tasks in Unix environments using Linux CLI and Bash.
