Base Salary
$175k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in building and maintaining data infrastructure and platform products.
- Process continuous data streams in near real time using Apache Flink.
- Build ETL processes and data pipelines using Flink, Spark, HBase, Azkaban, and Airflow.
- Collect and move large volumes of data using Apache Kafka.
- Store data, run servers, monitor logs, and manage permissions using AWS services.
- Monitor system health and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Automate tasks in Unix environments using Linux CLI and Bash.
- Support applications under development, customize existing applications, and assist with software updates and releases.
- Analyze and test applications and assist with integrating new applications.
- Document software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, requirements, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and integration needs.
- Work with Quality Assurance to evaluate whether applications meet specifications and technical requirements.
- Guide and mentor junior-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Seven years of experience processing continuous data streams using Apache Flink and using Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and alerting.
- Five years of experience using Flink, Spark, HBase, Azkaban, and Airflow for data pipelines and ETL.
- Three years of experience handling real-time data feeds using Apache Kafka.
- Experience using AWS Data Stack services including S3, EC2, CloudWatch, and IAM for data storage, servers, logs, and permissions.
- Experience automating tasks in a Unix environment using Linux CLI and Bash.
