Responsibilities
- Operate the production system, including deployments, rollbacks, capacity planning, and incident response.
- Design and execute a scaling roadmap covering horizontal scaling, load balancing, caching, object-storage offload, database replication, and IPFS-node fan-out.
- Evaluate and integrate managed cloud databases, object storage, CDNs, and load balancers.
- Build greenfield CI/CD pipelines covering testing, image builds, image pushes, and deployments across services.
- Establish observability through metrics, logs, error tracking, SLOs, and actionable alerts.
- Manage TLS, ACME automation, DNS, and secrets handling, including replacing hardcoded credentials.
- Introduce infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or a comparable tool.
- Use AI coding assistants to create infrastructure modules, runbooks, and incident-response playbooks.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Linux sysadmin, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience.
- Fluency with Docker, Dockerfiles, and multi-service Docker Compose stacks.
- Networking fundamentals including DNS, TLS, HTTP semantics, reverse proxies, and load balancers.
- Bash scripting plus Python or a comparable language such as Go or Ruby.
- Hands-on experience designing CI/CD pipelines with a modern system.
- Production operations experience including on-call work, postmortems, and capacity planning.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider—AWS, GCP, or Azure—including load balancing, object storage, and managed databases.
- Git fluency and experience using AI coding assistants and agent-based workflows in operations work.
- Strong written English for runbooks, RFCs, and postmortems.
- Preferred qualifications include Kubernetes operations, Terraform or Ansible depth, multi-cloud experience, observability stacks, advanced database operations, IPFS or peer-to-peer storage operations, security hardening, cost engineering, and cloud or Kubernetes certifications.
- Pragmatism, calmness during outages, documentation discipline, and comfort avoiding premature complexity.
