Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Java-based applications and services for the MineStar ecosystem.
- Develop clean, maintainable, well-tested code with appropriate security, resilience, documentation, reviews, and automated tests.
- Deliver features end-to-end through refinement, estimation, implementation, testing, and release.
- Contribute to solution design, technical decisions, design artifacts, engineering standards, and continuous improvement.
- Support production operations through service monitoring, incident troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and sustainable fixes.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Quality Engineering on requirements, acceptance criteria, and feedback.
- Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, coaching, knowledge sharing, hiring, and capability development.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant commercial software development experience.
- Commercial experience implementing microservices and distributed architectures, modern database technologies, cloud-based web applications, build and dependency management tools, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Python.
- Experience with modern security principles and technologies.
- Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time and agreed priorities effectively.
- Willingness to learn, pursue continuous improvement, and give and receive feedback.
