Base Salary

$153k - $191k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, deploy, and operate internal Python web applications using Flask and Streamlit.
  • Automate reporting, data reconciliation, document assembly, ticket follow-up, and other manual workflows, including approved AI-enabled automation.
  • Build and maintain ServiceNow and Asset Manager integrations for ticket, procurement, purchase order, receiving, and asset data.
  • Produce service-level performance reports and reconcile procurement, receiving, and asset records across data sources.
  • Generate and parse PDF, Excel, and CSV documents.
  • Manage development and production environments, controlled deployments, CI/CD processes, monitoring, backups, recovery testing, and rollback procedures.
  • Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide occasional after-hours deployment or incident response support.
  • Write automated tests, apply secure coding and least-privilege practices, protect sensitive data, and document applications through runbooks, user guides, and knowledge articles.
  • Translate operational problems into requirements and communicate technical findings to leadership and non-technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of professional Python development experience.
  • Hands-on experience building web applications with Flask or a comparable Python framework.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs with authentication, pagination, and error handling.
  • Working knowledge of Linux server administration, including systemd, file permissions, and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with pandas and SQL, including PostgreSQL database design, querying, and administration.
  • Proficiency with Git and disciplined version control practices.
  • Experience evaluating, deploying, and maintaining open source tools, frameworks, and libraries in production.
  • Hands-on DevOps experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments.
  • Experience managing separate development and production environments and promoting validated changes between them.
  • Experience designing and testing backup and recovery strategies for applications and databases.
  • Experience writing automated tests with pytest or a comparable framework.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and deliver on commitments.
  • Ability to complete a background investigation and meet ongoing personnel security reporting requirements.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
