Base Salary
$147k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure engineering workstreams involving cloud technologies and modernization initiatives.
- Architect and implement infrastructure changes across public and private cloud environments.
- Provide deep technical support and resolve complex integration-level issues above the API layer.
- Build self-service tools, telemetry, guides, FAQs, and automation to help teams resolve issues independently.
- Analyze upstream and downstream technical implications and advise on mitigation actions.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to drive permanent issue remediation and product improvements.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure analysis, design documentation, automation, and remediation workflows.
- Provide follow-the-sun 24/7 on-call support through a distributed team spanning multiple time zones.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Deep knowledge of one or more infrastructure engineering areas, such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation and data-sensitivity awareness.
- Ability to review AI-assisted recommendations before implementation and ensure alignment with resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
- Deep knowledge of a specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages.
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, including the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
- Familiarity with distributed systems spanning compute, databases, messaging, observability, and telemetry.
- Knowledge of incident, change, and problem management processes and related controls.
- Understanding of data-driven decision-making.
- Preferred qualifications include Kubernetes, Azure, GCP, Terraform, or AWS certifications.
