Responsibilities
- Design and implement production buying agents with reasoning, tool use, failure recovery, and output validation.
- Build and own core buying flows and shared services for policy enforcement, request routing, orchestration, and human handoff.
- Integrate large language models into deployed cloud services using prompt engineering, structured output, function calling, RAG, and agent/tool interaction protocols.
- Develop cloud-native microservices in Java and Spring Boot with security, observability, testing, and continuous delivery.
- Create evaluations, guardrails, tests, output validation, prompt-injection defenses, PII handling, audit trails, and secure-by-design practices.
- Collaborate with peers, review code, support junior developers, and resolve task-level ambiguity autonomously.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs into production services and applying prompt engineering and agent patterns.
- Backend experience with Java and Spring Boot, REST API design, Spring Security, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and microservices resilience patterns.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, or an equivalent PaaS.
- SQL fluency, relational database design, PostgreSQL or an equivalent database, and event-driven processing patterns.
- Experience with testing, security-by-design practices including OWASP Top 10, Git and pull-request workflows, and specification-driven or AI-assisted development.
- For full-stack profiles, TypeScript experience with React, Angular, or Vue and accessibility knowledge including WCAG 2.1 AA.
- RAG and vector-store experience with pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or an equivalent is preferred.
- SAP BTP, CAP, HANA Cloud, SAPUI5, Fiori, procurement, ERP, or other enterprise-domain experience is preferred but not required.
