Responsibilities
- Design and implement production buying agents with reasoning, tool-use, failure-recovery, and output-validation capabilities.
- Build and own core procurement flows and shared services for policy, routing, orchestration, and human handoff.
- Integrate LLMs into production cloud services using prompt engineering, structured output, function calling, RAG, and agent/tool protocols.
- Develop secure, observable, continuously delivered Java and Spring Boot microservices.
- Create evaluations, guardrails, tests, prompt-injection defenses, PII handling, audit trails, and secure-by-design controls.
- Collaborate with teammates, review code, support junior developers, and resolve task-level ambiguity autonomously.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs into production services and applying prompt engineering, structured output, function calling, and agent patterns.
- Experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and backend microservices patterns.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, and at least one major cloud provider or equivalent PaaS.
- Fluency in SQL and relational design, preferably with PostgreSQL, plus familiarity with event-driven processing patterns.
- Frontend experience with TypeScript and React, Angular, or Vue is relevant for full-stack profiles.
- Knowledge of test-driven development, OWASP Top 10, Git and pull-request practices, and secure-by-design engineering.
- Experience with RAG and vector stores such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate is a strong plus.
- SAP BTP, CAP, HANA Cloud, SAPUI5/Fiori, procurement, ERP, or another enterprise domain are strong-plus qualifications but are learnable on the job.
