Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise solution architectures aligned with business objectives, product requirements, and architectural principles.
- Lead architecture for global and regional A2A fraud and financial crime solutions.
- Define API standards, integration approaches, service interactions, reusable architecture patterns, and deployment models.
- Shape technology strategy and roadmaps covering cloud, data architecture, APIs, operational resilience, and platform evolution.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, data science, delivery, customers, financial institutions, and technology partners on solution design and implementation.
- Drive technology evaluations, software selection, architectural decisions, and management of architectural dependencies.
- Advise customers and internal stakeholders on architecture, deployment options, implementation trade-offs, and long-term platform evolution.
- Improve performance, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with Mastercard standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale, high-volume, low-latency distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of API design and governance, including OpenAPI.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, orchestration platforms, event-driven systems, streaming platforms, NoSQL technologies, and large-scale data processing.
- Expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD, and modern software delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of machine learning deployment and production environments.
- Experience making technology decisions across architectures, databases, platforms, and development frameworks.
- Knowledge of public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, including architecture and cost considerations; practical experience with AWS or equivalent cloud technologies.
- Understanding of resilience engineering, operational testing, monitoring, canary releases, blue-green deployments, and feature flags.
- Familiarity with security, privacy, compliance, GDPR, PCI DSS, tokenization, anonymization, and enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Experience defining and promoting architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
- Experience in payments, fraud prevention, financial crime, transaction monitoring, scam prevention, money mule detection, or real-time risk decisioning solutions.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience balancing business requirements against technical constraints and architectural trade-offs.
