Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable cloud-based software solutions for AVEVA CONNECT.
- Work with Product Owners, stakeholders, and Scrum Teams to define, design, and implement solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Develop maintainable, tested, documented, and reviewed software code in accordance with engineering quality standards.
- Analyze and validate security requirements, apply secure coding practices, and address vulnerabilities and dependency risks.
- Make architectural and technical decisions by evaluating scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and delivery trade-offs.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, define engineering standards, and collaborate across Development, DevOps, Security, Product, and R&D teams.
- Translate business and product requirements into technical designs, executable backlogs, dependencies, estimates, and delivery plans.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported issues with Customer Support, identify root causes, and drive timely resolution.
- Contribute to technical discovery, prototypes, architecture documentation, operational support, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and enterprise cloud-based application development.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud-native architecture, microservices, APIs, Docker, containerized applications, and Azure services.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service/Kubernetes, App Services, Function Apps, Key Vault, RBAC, and Azure Policy.
- Strong software design fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and reusable framework or component design.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design, data access patterns, and application performance considerations.
- Experience with automated testing, secure coding, authentication and authorization, dependency risk, and vulnerability remediation.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, architectural decision-making, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Azure DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, PowerShell, Azure CLI, observability, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance diagnostics.
- Preferred knowledge or practical experience with AI, generative AI, AI-enabled applications, AI-assisted software development, Angular, or other modern frontend frameworks.
