Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Lead reliability and modernization initiatives, including ECS-to-EKS/GKE migrations and microservice enablement.
- Architect and enable production-ready microservice applications with strong scalability and observability.
- Implement infrastructure as code and automation for provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
- Improve observability, performance, cost efficiency, monitoring, logging, and alerting across multiple clouds.
- Define SLOs and SLIs, conduct blameless postmortems, improve incident response, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Lead complex cross-team technical projects, manage dependencies and timelines, and mentor engineers.
- Partner with security and compliance teams on infrastructure standards including IAM Federation and Workload Identity.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- 3–5 years of production Kubernetes experience, including EKS, GKE, and related ecosystem tools.
- 3–5 years of experience with AWS and GCP, and 3–5 years using Terraform for multi-cloud infrastructure.
- 3+ years of coding experience in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience leading ECS-to-EKS/GKE migrations, enabling microservice architectures, and delivering high-impact technical projects.
- Experience implementing SLOs/SLIs, performing root cause analyses, and improving operational resilience.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong experience with CI/CD, Linux systems, networking, databases, caching, observability, container security, secrets management, and production compliance.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, cross-team leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Prior SaaS or high-scale cloud-native experience is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience is required.
