Responsibilities
- Partner with development teams and product managers to architect and build highly available, performant, and secure features.
- Measure, monitor, and report application and infrastructure health.
- Improve microservice performance and resolve scaling and performance issues.
- Manage capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Debug and optimize code and automate routine operational tasks.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations with development teams.
- Lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver complex software features and solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience troubleshooting Unix/Linux.
- Experience managing large-scale web operations.
- Experience with one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
- Hands-on experience with private or public cloud services in highly available and scalable production environments.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
- A BSCS or equivalent is required; an MSCS or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of distributed systems is a plus.
- Experience working with geographically distributed coworkers and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Previous experience leading teams and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver complex software features and solutions.
