Base Salary
$180k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own major features end-to-end, from architecture decisions through production release.
- Build reliable and performant systems for core legal workflows using Python/Django, React, and AWS.
- Ship AI-powered functionality that turns legal complexity into usable software for law firms.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and design to define product priorities and implementation.
- Help shape the technical team's culture, standards, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building reliable and secure software in production.
- Full-stack experience across frontend and backend development.
- Proficiency in Python and React, or demonstrably fast ability to learn new technology stacks.
- Track record of writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Experience with Django, AWS, or OpenAI APIs is preferred.
- Prior early-stage startup experience helping establish engineering standards is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal technology, document processing, or data-heavy workflows is preferred.
