Responsibilities
- Own features end to end from database schema through user interface.
- Build and extend the factory command platform, nesting and quoting engine, customer portal, and inventory and demand intelligence systems.
- Connect software directly to saws, automation, and shop-floor hardware.
- Translate complex real-world manufacturing operations into reliable software systems.
- Use AI tooling to accelerate development and continuously ship production software.
- Spend time on the factory floor to understand operational problems and solutions.
Requirements
- Ability to own large features independently and bring ambiguous problems through completion.
- Strong learning ability and capacity to work across new domains, including manufacturing operations.
- High urgency, organization, initiative, customer focus, and willingness to collaborate.
- Proficiency with the company’s TypeScript-based stack and ability to build across the application stack.
- Interest in using AI tools aggressively to increase development speed.
- Willingness to work full time in person in Detroit and pursue the company’s mission beyond normal hours.
