Responsibilities
- Develop bespoke applications and websites and support, enhance, maintain, and upgrade custom-developed applications.
- Collaborate with business analysis, project management, business relationship management, and application support teams to define, develop, and deliver new capabilities.
- Contribute application development tools, techniques, processes, architecture, and design efforts.
- Automate development processes and promote application management and monitoring tools.
- Support development, maintenance, monitoring, upgrades, change management, enterprise applications, and integrations.
- Develop prompt strategies and product requirements with measurable quality, safety, speed, and cost outcomes.
- Communicate project and support information to IT leadership and business staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least three years of experience in application analysis, application development, or a related field.
- Experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, and Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
- Hands-on UI/UX development experience, preferably including React JS.
- Hands-on experience prompting and evaluating LLMs, including Claude, Copilot, Gemini, few-shot prompting, and structured outputs.
- Working knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation, grounding strategies, LLM failure modes, prompt injection, data leakage, and agentic AI.
- Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, process-orientation, detail-orientation, and business-requirement translation skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa or immigration sponsorship.
- Ability to work full time in office and remote environments and outside standard U.S. business hours when project needs require it.
Benefits
- Full-time six-month contract with potential to extend.
- Hybrid schedule with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday in Southfield, Michigan.
- Paid relocation and benefits are not available for this contract position.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
