Base Salary
$180k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own edge Kubernetes fleet management, automated server provisioning, and software update pipelines.
- Evaluate server hardware and operating systems for the next-generation energy storage platform architecture.
- Resolve infrastructure scalability, reliability, performance, and security problems.
- Build and maintain tooling and services for validating software systems at scale, including performance and reliability testing frameworks.
- Provide hands-on technical support through pair programming, in-office sessions, and project leadership.
- Convert early deployment and customer pilot learnings into measurable platform infrastructure improvements.
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence, curiosity, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering.
- Strong understanding of system design and experience building available, reliable, scalable, and secure distributed systems.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network systems and infrastructure.
- Interest in server hardware fundamentals and software-hardware interaction at the platform level.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, prototype iteratively, and learn rapidly in an early-stage environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex systems to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, shifting priorities, and competing deadlines.

- California pay range is $180,000–$237,500 USD.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
