Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and business objectives to propose effective technical solutions.
- Prepare technical approach documents, effort estimates, high-level estimates, quotes, and functional and technical approaches.
- Develop, code, unit test, review, and maintain software solutions.
- Plan and manage software releases, rollouts, patches, schedules, and release notes.
- Provide technical inputs for pre-sales activities and coordinate customer product or solution demonstrations.
- Collaborate with customers and project teams on requirements, specifications, and proposed solutions.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve defects and issues with code fixes and unit testing in accordance with SLAs.
- Provide on-site or remote support for go-live activities, dry runs, testing, and deployments across customer time zones.
- Perform risk assessments, support continuous improvement, and provide technical guidance to assigned engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; MCA or MSc in Computer Science is also accepted.
- 5 to 7.5 years of total professional experience.
- Experience with Java, Ext JS, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with test management and test execution.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and software development best practices.
- Experience using AI tools such as Cursor AI, Replit AI, and GitHub Copilot for development, refactoring, and unit testing.
- Knowledge of build processes, IDEs, database tools, source code control, operating systems, command-line usage, and project tracking tools.
- Experience with GitHub and Jenkins, and working knowledge of JIRA.
- Experience with Blue Yonder, JDA, RedPrairie WMS, or other WMS platforms is preferred.
- Ability to evaluate competing solutions, own end-to-end delivery, guide engineers, and communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
