Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and business objectives to propose effective technical solutions.
- Provide effort estimates, high-level estimates, technical approach documents, risk assessments, quotes, and functional and technical approaches.
- Develop, code, unit test, peer review, and deliver software in accordance with established standards.
- Prepare and manage software releases, rollouts, patches, release planning, schedules, and release notes.
- Provide technical inputs for pre-sales activities and coordinate product or solution demonstrations for clients.
- Collaborate with customers and project teams to review requirements, specifications, and proposed solutions.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve defects and issues, including code fixes and unit testing within defined SLAs.
- Provide on-site or remote go-live, dry-run, testing, and deployment support while working in customer time zones.
- Take ownership of end-to-end project delivery and provide technical guidance to assigned engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline; MCA and MSc in Computer Science are also listed as alternatives.
- 5 to 7.5 years of total experience.
- Experience with Java, Ext JS, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
- Prior experience with Blue Yonder, JDA, RedPrairie WMS, or another WMS platform is preferred.
- Experience with test management and test execution.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and software development best practices.
- Experience with build processes, IDEs, database tools, source code control systems, Windows, Linux, Unix, command-line usage, and JIRA.
- Experience or familiarity with Cursor AI, Replit AI, and GitHub Copilot for development, code refactoring, and unit testing.
- Ability to evaluate competing solutions, make informed decisions, provide technical guidance, and recommend improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, ownership, and relationship-building skills.
