Responsibilities
- Analyze business objectives and customer requirements to propose effective technical solutions.
- Provide effort estimates and contribute to solution planning, design, design reviews, and delivery.
- Develop, code, unit test, peer review, and document high-quality software solutions.
- Plan and manage software releases, rollouts, hotfixes, patches, schedules, and release notes.
- Provide technical estimates and design input for pre-sales activities, PRS responses, and design workshops.
- Collaborate with customers and project teams on requirements, specifications, and proposed solutions.
- Perform risk assessments, prepare quotes, and define high-level functional and technical approaches.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve defects and issues with code fixes and unit testing within SLAs.
- Support go-live activities, dry runs, testing, and deployments on-site or remotely across customer time zones.
- Coordinate and deliver product or solution demonstrations to clients.
- Provide technical guidance to assigned engineers and support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant discipline; MCA and MSc in Computer Science are also listed as relevant qualifications.
- 7.5–10 years of total experience.
- Experience with Java, Ext JS, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
- Experience in API design, development, and testing, as well as JSON and XML file transformations.
- Experience in test management and test execution.
- In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, and database tools.
- Experience with source code control systems such as GitHub and Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, including command-line usage.
- Working knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking.
- Ability to evaluate competing solutions, make informed decisions, own end-to-end delivery, and provide technical guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and continuous-improvement skills.
- Prior experience with Blue Yonder, JDA, RedPrairie WMS, or other WMS platforms is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and AI tools such as Cursor AI, Replit AI, and GitHub Copilot.
