Responsibilities
- Architect and implement the technical roadmap for a scalable, secure Security Data Platform.
- Build platform capabilities for data ingestion, processing, storage, APIs, analytics integration, and self-service onboarding using Apache Spark, AWS S3, and streaming or batch pipelines.
- Design the platform’s evolution into a multi-tenant SaaS product serving global customers.
- Partner with data producers and consumers to resolve integration and structural data challenges.
- Define monitoring, alerting, automated testing, performance tuning, and cost-optimization practices.
- Conduct code reviews, establish engineering standards, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Research cybersecurity and data engineering trends and prototype AI/ML opportunities for risk assessment and automated remediation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience focused on SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS environments and high-availability systems.
- Extensive hands-on experience building large-scale data platforms with Apache Spark, AWS S3, streaming or batch pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
- Expertise in distributed systems, application integrations, identity systems, and data governance such as data mesh.
- Experience owning complex features through design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience delivering self-service data solutions and managing high-volume pipelines integrating with 50+ data systems.
- Expert knowledge of N-tier and MVC system patterns and API frameworks such as OpenAPI.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and influence architectural decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.
- M.Sc., M.Eng., B.A., or B.Sc. in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments.

- The typical base salary range is $117,200–$260,100 annually; select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan locations have a $141,200–$285,800 annual range.
