Base Salary

$117k - $286k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement the technical roadmap for a scalable and secure Cybersecurity Data Platform.
  • Design and build data ingestion, processing, storage, APIs, streaming and batch pipelines, and self-service onboarding tools.
  • Drive the platform’s transition toward a multi-tenant SaaS product serving global customers.
  • Partner with data producers and consumers to define ingestion patterns, resolve structural inconsistencies, and improve integrations across 50+ data systems.
  • Define monitoring, alerting, automated testing, performance tuning, and cost-optimization practices.
  • Provide technical guidance through architecture decisions, code reviews, engineering standards, and mentorship of junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Research cybersecurity and data engineering trends and prototype AI/ML opportunities for risk assessment and automated remediation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience focused on SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS environments and high-availability 24/7 systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience building large-scale data platforms with Apache Spark, AWS S3, streaming and batch pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Expertise in distributed systems, application integrations across on-premises and SaaS environments, identity systems, and data governance such as data mesh.
  • Experience owning complex features end to end, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Experience delivering self-service data solutions and managing high-volume pipelines integrating with 50+ data systems.
  • Expert knowledge of N-tier and MVC system patterns and API frameworks such as OpenAPI.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts and influence architectural decisions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • M.Sc./M.Eng. or B.A./B.Sc. in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments.
