Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure across EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Own AWS account governance, including cost optimization, security posture, compliance controls, and multi-account strategies.
- Design and operate Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS, including scheduling, autoscaling, resource quotas, namespaces, networking, ingress, and storage.
- Build and maintain modular Terraform codebases, remote state, modules, workspaces, IaC review standards, and GitOps workflows.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Automate operational tasks and build developer tooling with Python.
- Implement observability using New Relic, CloudWatch, and Elastic.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, post-mortems, and reliability improvements including SLO/SLA definition.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role.
- Deep AWS expertise across compute, networking, storage, and security services.
- Expert-level Kubernetes knowledge covering cluster administration, workload management, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Terraform skills, including production-grade infrastructure as code, modules, and remote state management.
- Hands-on Amazon EKS experience with managed node groups, Fargate, add-ons, and upgrades.
- Solid Python scripting experience for automation and operational tooling.
- Strong networking fundamentals covering VPCs, subnets, security groups, VPNs, and DNS.
- Preferred experience with Helm, Istio, Linkerd, ArgoCD, Flux, or HashiCorp Vault.
- Preferred background in SRE practices, chaos engineering, and relevant open-source contributions.
- Preferred certifications include CKA, CKAD, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
