Base Salary
$163k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop mission-planner algorithms, including graph search and integration with behavioral planning.
- Integrate and test developed applications on the robot platform and improve them based on results.
- Collaborate on integrating software components across Zoox.
- Set short- and long-term technical direction for the team and contribute to broader company direction.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Mission Planning, Behavioral Planning, and Cloud Services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- At least two years of industry experience.
- Programming experience in C++.
- Understanding and experience with graph-search techniques such as A*, D*, and Dijkstra.
- Experience modeling real-world problems with Markov Decision Processes or related frameworks.
- Ability to develop scalable solutions for sequential decision-making under uncertainty and constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to write code for a shipped product, such as commercial robotics, drones, consumer devices, or automotive systems.
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field is a bonus qualification.
- Experience with autonomous robots is a bonus qualification.
