Responsibilities
- Design and develop state-of-the-art robot-learning algorithms for manipulation and controls.
- Use large-scale in-the-wild data collection to develop generalizable robot behaviors.
- Own the workflow from task definition and data curation to model training, evaluation, and on-robot deployment.
- Collaborate with a full-stack robotics team to develop a consumer personal robot.
- Write maintainable, production-quality code for research and deployment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience, or equivalent, working on machine learning for robotics, controls, or perception.
- Proficiency in Python and a deep-learning framework, preferably PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience with robot learning for real-world tasks, including offline and online training and evaluation.
- Ability to build tooling for visualization, debugging, and evaluation of data and learning pipelines.
- Familiarity with classical robotics fundamentals such as controls, planning, and state estimation is preferred.
- Experience profiling and optimizing latency, memory, and compute on edge devices is preferred.
- Experience with large-scale model training pipelines such as LLM, VLM, or VLA is preferred.
