Responsibilities
- Develop clean, maintainable, efficient code for software applications and systems.
- Participate in design reviews and architectural design for scalable, reliable, and maintainable features and systems.
- Review code, provide technical feedback, and uphold coding, observability, testing, and maintainability standards.
- Build testable software, define and execute tests, and automate testing with tools such as JUnit and Selenium.
- Triage defects and customer-reported issues, debug problems, and deliver timely resolutions.
- Monitor service health and quality, use health indicators and telemetry, escalate issues, assist with root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
- Own software delivery across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production maintenance in a DevOps model.
- Document features, enhancements, and fixes and contribute to training materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript.
- Experience with software development practices and design patterns.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and JIRA.
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
- Demonstrated ability to build and ship successful software products and services.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
