Test Engineer– VR/MR

- Execute manual, exploratory, regression, compatibility, feature, and automated tests for VR/MR applications, platforms, devices, SDKs, workflows, integrations, and immersive-content pipelines.
- Validate features, system modifications, software updates, bug fixes, releases, and hotfixes.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and test infrastructure.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, release checklists, validation procedures, and quality reports.
- Determine test coverage, environments, and validation strategies while coordinating release validation milestones.
- Document, prioritize, reproduce, and track defects and customer-reported issues through resolution with software developers.
- Analyze test results, crash reports, customer feedback, quality gaps, release risks, and test-coverage deficiencies.
- Monitor product quality and performance throughout release cycles and communicate testing progress, readiness, risks, blockers, and quality concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in software testing, Quality Assurance, test engineering, or release validation.
- Experience with manual, exploratory, regression, compatibility, feature, and automated testing, including automated scripts or test infrastructure.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, validation procedures, release checklists, and quality reports.
- Experience analyzing test results and making actionable software-quality recommendations.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and test-management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause investigation, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software developers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to wear and actively use VR/MR headsets for approximately 4–6 hours per day and work onsite with specialized testing equipment, prototypes, and laboratory facilities.
- Preferred experience includes testing VR/MR, spatial computing, immersive applications, Meta Quest 3 or similar hardware, Volumetric SDKs, 3D content workflows, Android applications, MR platform APIs, hardware/software integration, device validation, performance testing, profiling, low-latency applications, and emerging prototype technologies.
- Preferred proficiency includes C#, C++, Java, Kotlin, or automated test development.
