Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop fast and reliable integrated test system architecture for the Starlink network.
- Deliver dynamic, end-to-end testing solutions across teams.
- Debug software and network failures in hardware-in-the-loop test environments.
- Identify and resolve testing coverage gaps across the network.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Develop tools for software development and deployment, data analysis and visualization, and test execution across virtualized hardware, real hardware-in-the-loop simulations, and on-orbit testing.
- Test and integrate network software features deployed worldwide to Starlink data centers and vehicles, including satellites, laser terminals, ground stations, and user antennas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering, computer science, physics, or another science discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree; internship experience is applicable.
- Development experience in Python and/or C++.
- Experience developing, debugging, and deploying software used in real-world applications or projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of containerization frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes and associated tooling is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and Bash scripting is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with OSI model Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking is preferred.
- Hands-on lab experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, electrical power equipment, and PCBAs is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment are preferred.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
