Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain platform infrastructure software for routing systems.
- Develop diagnostics tools to improve router reliability and performance.
- Work with system and solution test teams to support high-quality product delivery.
- Partner with the HPE Technical Assistance Center on critical customer escalations and deployments.
- Maintain and enhance existing software features.
- Work with hardware-level components, device drivers, and system bring-up as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 4 years of experience.
- At least 2 years of C programming experience.
- At least 2 years of C++ programming experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux.
- Ability to maintain and enhance existing software features.
- Preferred: 2+ years of object-oriented development in C, C++, or Python.
- Preferred: exposure to routing and forwarding software.
- Preferred: familiarity with Optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, Retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, and Flash Drivers.
- Preferred: experience with device drivers, system bring-up, and FreeBSD/Linux internals.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
