Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain platform infrastructure software for routing systems.
  • Develop diagnostics tools to improve router reliability and performance.
  • Work with system and solution test teams to support high-quality product delivery.
  • Partner with the HPE Technical Assistance Center on critical customer escalations and deployments.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software features.
  • Work with hardware-level components, device drivers, and system bring-up as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 4 years of experience.
  • At least 2 years of C programming experience.
  • At least 2 years of C++ programming experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux.
  • Ability to maintain and enhance existing software features.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of object-oriented development in C, C++, or Python.
  • Preferred: exposure to routing and forwarding software.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, Retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, and Flash Drivers.
  • Preferred: experience with device drivers, system bring-up, and FreeBSD/Linux internals.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
