Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall testing strategy and quality standards for the Byte by Yum! Commerce Platform.
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks across web and mobile applications.
- Perform hands-on manual and exploratory testing for new features, edge cases, and pre-release sign-off.
- Establish functional, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing practices.
- Set testing guidelines and quality standards across engineering teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality into the development lifecycle and CI/CD pipeline.
- Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting to improve release confidence and platform reliability.
- Evaluate and improve testing tools, frameworks, and processes as the platform grows.
- Lead defect management, including prioritization, tracking, and resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of software quality assurance experience, including at least three years in a senior test role supporting large-scale e-commerce or high-volume consumer platforms.
- Experience leading testing strategies and quality initiatives for complex software platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one test automation framework, such as Maestro, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and DevOps teams and distributed global teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- Strong spoken and written English for international collaboration.
- Preferred experience with Maestro for mobile UI automation.
- Preferred experience with large-scale, high-transaction e-commerce systems.
- ISTQB or another relevant QA certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of performance or load testing tools is preferred.
