Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure solutions in AWS.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar frameworks.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes or related technologies.
- Develop custom software components and integrate open-source solutions for mission needs.
- Apply software engineering practices across build, deployment, and operations lifecycles.
- Build secure, automated, and repeatable deployment pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, network, and platform layers.
- Collaborate across teams within Agile development frameworks and participate in reliability, maintainability, and performance improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development using Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Relevant experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration, networking, and Bash or shell scripting.
- Experience with Kubernetes or related container orchestration technologies.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- US citizenship and an active Secret clearance; Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph are also accepted.
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.
- Desired qualifications include CI/CD and automated build pipeline experience, familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, or GitLab, virtualization or storage platform experience, Big Data ecosystem experience, and DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification or equivalent.
- Mid-level candidates require 5–8 years of relevant experience, senior-level candidates require 9–13 years, and SME-level candidates require 14 or more years.
