Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop low-level firmware to orchestrate LLM workloads across hardware accelerator components.
- Contribute to system and board management for the accelerator system.
- Create debugging and profiling tools for firmware and hardware interaction.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define software-hardware interfaces.
- Optimize end-to-end performance from the application layer through hardware execution.
- Develop testing, validation, hardware-in-the-loop, integration, and regression frameworks.
- Create documentation and specifications for firmware interfaces.
- Support customer integration and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in firmware engineering, embedded systems, or low-level systems programming.
- High proficiency in embedded C++ and Python for tooling and automation.
- Experience with embedded systems programming, hardware interfaces, computer architecture, memory hierarchies, and parallel computing.
- Experience with hardware communication protocols and register-level programming.
- Preferred experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, PCIe, and Ethernet interfaces.
- Preferred experience with ARM, RISC-V, embedded processor toolchains, virtual platforms, fast C simulators, and cross-compilation.
- Preferred experience with Docker, parallel and asynchronous debugging, bare-metal programming, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, multi-node systems, multiprocessor systems, IPC, shared memory, OTA updates, and adaptive firmware architectures.
- Preferred ability to read RTL and experience with AI/ML accelerators, high-performance computing, low-latency systems, thermal and power optimization, and LLM architectures.
- Preferred familiarity with AMBA, AXI, ROCv1/2, and InfiniBand, plus experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog, ModelSim, or QuestaSim.
