Base Salary
$135k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and document API and data integrations between VA-EISS, BOSS-E, MBMS, and external VA business systems.
- Support ETL/ELT processes, legacy-to-modern system transitions, and integration of internal and external data sources.
- Develop scripts for data migrations, environment configuration, and interface implementation.
- Configure integrations across development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Test integrations at unit, functional, and integration levels in VA-approved environments before release.
- Support UAT, IV&V, and ISQA testing by providing integration-specific data and configuration artifacts.
- Document integration configurations, environment setups, and validation procedures.
- Contribute to modernization, data exchange, migration activities, and Agile/Scrum sprint deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT-related field.
- 7–10 years of professional experience.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, legacy-to-cloud migrations, and cross-system data exchange.
- Experience documenting integration configurations, environment setups, and validation procedures.
- Experience supporting integration testing across unit, functional, system, and performance test cycles.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, SOAP when applicable, message queues, and microservice integration patterns.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools, database scripting using DDL/DML, and data transformation techniques.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and contributing to sprint deliverables.
- Preferred experience with Java, Node.js, React, Ruby/Rails, Oracle, and .NET.
- Ability to meet Public Trust requirements.
