Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services for personalization systems
- Drive architectural improvements for reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Collaborate with Product and Data teams to deliver tailored user experiences
- Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence and proactive ownership
- Evaluate and introduce technologies, frameworks, and AI adoptions to improve the backend stack
- Improve observability, performance, resilience, and uptime of revenue-critical systems
- Write clean, well-tested, and efficient production code as a hands-on engineer
- Lead technical planning and project execution through on-time delivery
Requirements
- 8+ years of full stack or backend software development experience
- Expertise with React, Kotlin, TypeScript, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience architecting and scaling complex backend systems in a high-growth environment
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven architecture
- Deep understanding of system performance and scalability best practices
- Ability to translate complex and ambiguous requirements into actionable plans
- Advanced English communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and guiding engineers
- Fluency with AI engineering tools
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and React Native
