Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable backend features aligned with technical and business requirements.
- Debug and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable code and contribute to technical design decisions and RFCs.
- Serve as an initial on-call responder and help maintain application reliability and availability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing, hiring, onboarding, and team-building.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and improve engineering processes, development practices, and standards.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, and workflows.
Requirements
- Expertise in Java, including modern features and frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills in distributed architectures and object-oriented design.
- Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, software development principles, automation, process optimization, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience with database concepts including SQL, indexing, and migrations, as well as API integration.
- Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, version control, testing, continuous integration and deployment, Docker, Kubernetes, secure coding, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Proactive approach to mentoring, collaboration, and contributing to team dynamics.
