Responsibilities
- Apply Java or C# coding skills in a Visual Studio modernization environment.
- Develop Java or C# libraries and improve core classes for modernized environments.
- Set up testing, analyze test findings, troubleshoot issues, and implement code corrections.
- Coordinate technical solutions and identify process improvements that increase productivity.
- Provide consultation, mentoring, and teachable moments to junior team members.
- Deliver quality modernization work to clients on schedule.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of coding experience in Java or C#.
- Preferred experience with software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience with object-oriented programming, Eclipse or Visual Studio, Java or .NET, and relational databases including SQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Ability to mentor junior colleagues and demonstrate problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree, coding boot camp certification, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with mainframe, IDEAL, COBOL, CICS, JCL, Datacom, or DB2 is preferred.
