Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services for entitlements, usage tracking, integrations, and platform APIs.
Own small to medium-sized features from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable APIs for internal and external consumers.
Build service-to-service integrations across identity, billing, metering, and tenant management systems.
Break requirements into technical tasks, estimate work, and surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
Debug production issues, participate in incident response, and improve reliability, performance, and operational readiness.
Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation, engineering practices, internal tools, and developer productivity improvements.
Improve observability through logging, monitoring, tracing, and operational metrics.
Collaborate with product managers, QA, and engineering teams to deliver platform capabilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3–5 years of backend software development experience.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Python, or Go.
Experience designing and building REST APIs and backend services in distributed or service-oriented environments.
Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Experience with Git, code reviews, testing practices, and standard software development workflows.
Ability to debug application and production issues and deliver maintainable, high-quality code.
Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred: experience with microservices-based architecture and distributed systems.
Preferred: familiarity with Spring Boot, Express/NestJS, Django, or similar backend frameworks.
Preferred: experience with feature entitlements, access control, usage metering, billing systems, API gateways, and service-to-service communication.
Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred: familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
Preferred: exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and observability or operational tooling.
Preferred: understanding of OAuth, JWT, RBAC, and ABAC.
