Responsibilities
- Implement and support DevOps improvements focused on software quality, efficiency, automation, and accelerated delivery.
- Create and maintain AWS CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins.
- Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and containerized environments using Kubernetes and Helm.
- Support database architecture, integration, and schema change management using tools such as Liquibase.
- Write automation scripts, including Python scripts, and apply GitOps practices.
- Use monitoring tools to support system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with development, QA, IT operations, information security, UCD, and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical implementations and influence stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
- Define and promote DevOps best practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and practical experience with AWS Cloud services.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
- Practical experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance.
- Experience with database schema change management, such as Liquibase.
- Ability to write automation scripts, such as Python.
- Understanding of GitOps principles.
- Experience with Java programming and Maven builds.
- Strong stakeholder communication, negotiation, and business analysis skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
