Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver features that advance Benchling's product and business goals.
- Own end-to-end delivery of significant projects across multi-sprint, multi-person initiatives.
- Write well-documented, well-tested code that follows company best practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing actionable feedback.
- Partner with product management and design to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI to improve compliance workflows.
- Contribute to team discussions and process improvements.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure integration of horizontal platform systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer with demonstrated growth.
- Experience delivering multi-sprint projects end-to-end.
- Strong experience building backend systems and APIs for cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with frontend development and willingness to build full-stack solutions.
- Ability to design technical solutions that account for edge cases and performance.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
- Interest in learning about life sciences.
