Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and evolve scalable automated testing frameworks for front-end and back-end components.
- Build test software, testing infrastructure, and reporting solutions that improve the testing feedback loop.
- Transform manual test coverage into maintainable, high-value automated test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with the DevOps team on continuous testing.
- Test APIs, integrations, distributed systems, databases, CRM/ERP platforms, and third-party endpoints.
- Work as an embedded Quality Engineer in Agile/Scrum teams to influence design, improve testability, and advocate for quality.
- Use AI tools to improve test generation, code quality, analysis, and productivity.
- Read vendor API documentation and independently navigate complex integration landscapes.
- Collaborate proactively with engineers, product managers, leadership, and distributed teams across time zones.
- Support critical releases and flex working hours when needed for cross-time-zone collaboration.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test with hands-on experience designing and building scalable automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar programming languages, with the ability to write maintainable production-quality test code.
- Strong experience with modern testing frameworks and tools such as Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine, Mocha, Selenium, or PyTest.
- Experience converting manual testing into reliable, sustainable automated test suites.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as an embedded Quality Engineer.
- Exposure to iPaaS, SaaS, cloud-based platforms, distributed systems, and integrations.
- Hands-on experience testing REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML payloads, relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms.
- Experience with Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox or Hyper-V, npm or yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub, and related DevOps toolchains.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity.
- Ability to read vendor API documentation and work through complex integration landscapes.
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams across time zones and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to articulate risk, advocate for quality, and partner effectively with engineers, product managers, and leadership.
