Responsibilities
- Provision, operate, install/configure, and maintain cloud computing technologies.
- Provide technical support and guidance in planning and implementation.
- Participate in technical research and development for cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with organizational values and regulatory requirements.
- Document specifications, project plans, and configurations.
- Communicate complex ideas and designs to varied audiences.
- Monitor and report on data restore and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Recommend process improvements and efficiencies.
- Coordinate and document Disaster Recovery (DR) failovers.
- Ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.
- Develop and oversee storage arrays and associated components.
- Maintain data backup solutions for on-premise and cloud environments.
- Research and implement file sharing technologies.
- Troubleshoot advanced storage issues.
- Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning.
- Document policies and procedures for operational storage.
Requirements
- Five years of professional experience in engineering.
- Three years of hands-on experience managing hybrid storage infrastructure.
- Two years of experience with DoD IT systems.
- Two years of experience with enterprise SAN management.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise hierarchical storage system management.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required.
- At least one Computing Environment certification is required.
- Secret Clearance with an adjudicated IT-I investigation required.
