Base Salary
$160k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales and Customer Engineering as a technical expert.
- Lead technical discovery to align customer objectives with PlanetScale offerings.
- Design and execute proof of value timelines for business outcomes.
- Create database migration strategies and assist customers with migrations.
- Analyze performance requirements and recommend architecture strategies.
- Build tools and automation to enhance customer onboarding.
- Develop educational content such as documentation and workshops.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to advocate for customer needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL in production.
- Experience supporting customers with MySQL or PostgreSQL workloads.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
- Proven success in customer-facing technical roles.
- Strong understanding of database migration strategies.
- Ability to write scripts in Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Experience creating technical content like documentation or tutorials.
