Base Salary
$141k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead system design and architecture for large-scale Kubernetes-based services, including deployment patterns, autoscaling, resource orchestration, and operational automation.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and conduct code and design reviews.
- Guide cross-team initiatives through design reviews, mentoring, and improvements to reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Own service availability and performance through capacity planning, CPU and memory tuning, SLO/SLA definition, and resilience patterns.
- Advance CI/CD pipelines and observability using ArgoCD, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering partners to develop integrated customer solutions.
- Mentor engineers and promote inclusive engineering practices and the company mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience designing, building, and operating distributed, highly available cloud systems.
- Mastery of backend service development in Go, Java, Scala, or C#.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and at least one infrastructure-as-code tool, preferably Terraform.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL datastores and data-intensive system patterns.
- Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and mentor senior engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include production experience with ArgoCD and Kubernetes autoscaling strategies, CI/CD and secure software supply-chain experience, and familiarity with connected-device ecosystems or edge-to-cloud data pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and pragmatic technical judgment are preferred.

- Base pay range of $141,000 to $225,600 USD, plus potential bonus and stock awards.
