Responsibilities
- Prototype integrations and templates connecting E3 platforms with business-specific development pipelines.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting, architecture reviews, and pairing sessions for engineering community members.
- Create presentations, demonstrations, technical blogs, starter kits, reference architectures, and sample solutions.
- Support internal engineering communities through inner-sourcing initiatives, technical talks, hackathons, forums, and workshops.
- Gather and communicate developer feedback, bugs, feature requests, workflow friction, adoption milestones, and bottlenecks to platform teams and leadership.
- Represent engineer needs in product vision and roadmap discussions, including improvements to documentation, API usability, and developer experience.
- Mentor engineers and platform squad members on engineering practices, embedded application security, and AI tools.
- Drive adoption of E3 capabilities across Roche business units and serve as a technical spokesperson for the E3 organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of full-stack software development, DevOps, or Platform Engineering experience.
- Strong coding ability and comfort analyzing architecture pipelines.
- Deep familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and automated code review agents.
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD engines, and container orchestration.
- Ability to build reference architectures, starter kits, and mock environments that developers can clone and deploy quickly.
- Exceptional written and oral storytelling skills for technical audiences, including technical blogs, talks, and interactive workshops.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and operate effectively in complex and ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Security, and Compliance teams.
- Strong customer focus, ownership, initiative, pragmatism, and commitment to usable solutions and high-quality developer experiences.
