Responsibilities
- Design and safely introduce new products and features for data center and WAN production networks.
- Consult on and contribute to enhancements in Google’s software-defined networking stack.
- Drive improvements to mean time to detect and mean time to mitigate network incidents.
- Improve ML network reliability and observability tooling and provide emergency response for related incidents.
- Standardize network management tools, workflows, and processes to reduce manual involvement and simplify emergency response.
- Design, develop, and manage policies and systems that improve production network reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with computer network systems.
- Experience with system administration and automation.
- Experience with system architecture and system design.
- Preferred expertise with network protocols and large-scale networking architectures.
- Preferred expertise with Unix/Linux systems, IP networking, performance, application issues, and global-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
Benefits
- Ireland base salary of €150000–€153000 per year, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
