Responsibilities

  • Design and safely introduce new products and features for data center and WAN production networks.
  • Consult on and contribute to enhancements in Google’s software-defined networking stack.
  • Drive improvements to mean time to detect and mean time to mitigate network incidents.
  • Improve ML network reliability and observability tooling and provide emergency response for related incidents.
  • Standardize network management tools, workflows, and processes to reduce manual involvement and simplify emergency response.
  • Design, develop, and manage policies and systems that improve production network reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with computer network systems.
  • Experience with system administration and automation.
  • Experience with system architecture and system design.
  • Preferred expertise with network protocols and large-scale networking architectures.
  • Preferred expertise with Unix/Linux systems, IP networking, performance, application issues, and global-scale distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.

Benefits

  • Ireland base salary of €150000–€153000 per year, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
  • Location: Ireland.
