Responsibilities

  • Work with teams building multi-tenant distributed storage systems and balance strategic infrastructure goals with immediate engineering needs.
  • Build reliable, available, resilient, fault-tolerant, and self-healing services and infrastructure.
  • Define and configure metrics for incident detection and measuring service health, availability, and performance.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve storage infrastructure issues.
  • Optimize infrastructure performance from the application layer through the Linux kernel.
  • Potentially lead major storage architecture changes, large-scale data and workload migrations, multi-cloud scaling, and secure multi-tenant runtime design.

Requirements

  • Have 6+ years of experience developing and operating distributed systems.
  • Be proficient in Python, Go, or a similar programming language.
  • Have operated or supported stateful storage or database systems at scale and understand durability, consistency, and recovery trade-offs.
  • Have experience using and extending containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Have expertise with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
  • Understand Linux operating system internals and networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and routing.
  • Demonstrate a customer-focused mindset, process efficiency, and a preference for automation over manual operations.
