Base Salary
$168k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy resilient, large-scale data solutions across Cassandra, Kafka, and OpenSearch.
- Manage and optimize distributed systems in hybrid AWS and private cloud environments.
- Automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
- Support reliability through automated backups, security patching, production monitoring, and incident management.
- Guide application teams on data access patterns and cloud migration strategies.
- Lead technical projects, including task estimation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, scaling, and upgrading distributed database technologies such as CassandraDB, OpenSearch, Kafka, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
- 5+ years of experience managing AWS infrastructure at scale.
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices, including CI/CD tools, Infrastructure as Code tools, and Python.
- 5+ years of experience supporting live production systems for customer-facing software as a service.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical projects.
- Preferred: exposure to data pipelines, streaming systems, AI/ML, and GenAI workloads.
- Preferred: experience writing data-driven applications in Java or Python and familiarity with software data access patterns.
- Preferred: experience in regulated U.S. Federal environments.
