Base Salary
$168k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy resilient, large-scale data solutions across Cassandra, Kafka, and OpenSearch in hybrid AWS and private cloud environments.
- Automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
- Deploy, monitor, scale, upgrade, and optimize distributed systems for throughput, scale, and performance.
- Strengthen production reliability through automated backups, security patching, and incident management.
- Guide application teams on data access patterns and cloud migration strategies.
- Lead technical projects involving task estimation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, scaling, and upgrading distributed database technologies such as CassandraDB, OpenSearch, Kafka, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
- 5+ years managing AWS infrastructure at scale.
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Python.
- 5+ years supporting live production systems for customer-facing software-as-a-service applications.
- 3+ years leading technical projects with responsibility for estimation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder communications.
- Exposure to modern data platforms, data pipelines, streaming systems, AI/ML, and GenAI workloads is preferred.
- Experience writing data-driven applications in Java or Python and familiarity with software data access patterns is preferred.
- Experience in regulated U.S. Federal environments is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen working on U.S. soil for this position.
Benefits
- Starting salary range is $167,700.00 to $245,200.00, with location-specific ranges also provided for New York City Metro Area, non-metro New York state, and Washington state.
