Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and evolve highly critical business services and features.
  • Participate in technical and architectural decisions, evaluating trade-offs and proposing sustainable solutions.
  • Own production systems by monitoring their behavior, performance, availability, and evolution.
  • Build applications with attention to performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Identify technical, architectural, and development-process gaps and propose improvements.
  • Ensure quality through automated testing, code reviews, observability, and sound engineering practices.
  • Investigate and resolve production problems, identify root causes, and prevent recurrence.
  • Document technical solutions and share knowledge across the team.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other areas to define and evolve solutions.
  • Act as a technical reference for the team and support the development of other engineers.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in backend software development.
  • Experience developing applications and services with Go (Golang).
  • Good knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
  • Experience developing and maintaining APIs and integrations between systems.
  • Knowledge of automated testing strategies and practices.
  • Ability to critically analyze code, architecture, and documentation.
  • Experience with production applications and a focus on observability, reliability, and performance.
  • Ability to discuss technical solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and communicate decisions clearly.
  • Collaborative participation in code reviews with a focus on improving technical quality.
  • Autonomy to take complex problems from understanding through production solution.
  • Ability to use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or similar tools strategically while maintaining critical thinking and responsibility for code, architecture, security, and technical decisions.
  • Experience with high-scale, highly available, or mission-critical systems is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
  • Knowledge of messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture, Event Sourcing, CQRS, or Hexagonal Architecture is preferred.
  • Experience with non-relational databases is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices is preferred.
  • Knowledge of observability, metrics, tracing, and application monitoring is preferred.
  • Experience in financial services, payments, or highly critical transactional products is preferred.
