Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to build high-quality customer experiences.
- Design, build, ship, and iterate on Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Contribute to the in-house Server-Driven UI framework.
- Support mobile infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Google Play deployment workflows, and automated UI testing.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Focus on UI detail, accessibility, reliability, and the overall app experience.
- Build an understanding of backend systems and APIs that power the app.
- Monitor released features, resolve issues, and contribute to engineering standards and practices.
Requirements
- Commercial experience building Android applications.
- Good knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose or an interest in developing skills with it.
- Understanding of mobile development principles, patterns, and testing practices.
- Experience building and releasing features as part of a collaborative product team.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive approach to ownership.
- Helpful additional experience includes reusable components, Server-Driven UI, A/B testing, CI/CD, automated mobile testing, ML or AI-powered app functionality, backend or full-stack development, and taking features from idea through release.
