Responsibilities
- Convert manual test cases into automated end-to-end tests for iOS and Android applications.
- Own and drive the strategy for increasing automated mobile test coverage and reducing manual regression effort.
- Prioritize high-value automation opportunities and keep automated tests aligned with evolving manual test suites.
- Analyze test failures, distinguish flaky tests from defects, reproduce bugs, and create detailed bug reports.
- Maintain and extend shared automation framework components to support new scenarios.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on acceptance criteria and testability.
- Integrate and maintain automated tests in GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Advocate for safe applications and high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to share testing best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 6–9 years of experience in software QA, including at least 3 years in mobile automation.
- Hands-on experience with Appium, Espresso, UIAutomator2, XCUITest, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Programming or scripting experience with Java, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, and GitHub.
- Experience with backend or API testing using Postman, JMeter, Charles Proxy, or similar tools.
- Professional working proficiency in English and strong communication skills.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for test automation while maintaining quality, reliability, and user safety.
- Familiarity with security, privacy, or medical device regulations such as HIPAA or GDPR is a bonus.
- Startup or high-growth product experience is a bonus.
- ISTQB, CASTP, or similar certifications are a bonus.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database validation is a bonus.
- Experience with SAFe Agile frameworks is a bonus.
- Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, or similar device-cloud platforms is a bonus.
