Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous message queues.
- Use AI tools and LLMs to generate synthetic test data, improve test coverage, and automate test-case creation.
- Analyze, debug, isolate, reproduce, and resolve issues in complex distributed systems.
- Establish quality metrics covering speed, reliability, and test coverage, and streamline CI/CD testing gates.
- Partner with backend engineers, data teams, and product owners to define acceptance criteria and secure end-to-end data flows.
- Test backend services, data pipelines, server-side applications, and integration layers for reliability and security.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 6–9 years of software QA experience specializing in backend systems and distributed services.
- Hands-on API test development and framework-design experience with tools such as RestAssured, TestNG, and JUnit, plus proficiency in Java.
- Strong experience with Postman and API specification standards including OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Advanced SQL, data validation, database schema, PostgreSQL, and complex data-pipeline testing experience.
- Experience using AI-powered development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT.
- Performance and stress-testing experience with JMeter, Grafana k6, or Gatling.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jira, and Confluence.
- Professional working proficiency in English and strong communication skills.
- Bonus qualifications include AWS, Docker, startup or high-growth product experience, ISTQB certification, and SAFe Agile experience.
