Responsibilities
- Convert manual test cases into automated end-to-end tests for iOS and Android applications using the existing automation framework.
- Own the strategy for increasing automated mobile test coverage and reducing manual regression effort.
- Prioritize test cases, maintain alignment between automated and manual suites, and keep the automated suite reliable.
- Analyze test failures, distinguish flaky tests from real defects, reproduce bugs, and write detailed bug reports.
- Maintain and extend shared automation framework components to support new test scenarios.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and improve testability.
- Integrate and maintain automated tests in GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Advocate for safe, high-quality releases and share testing practices with QA engineers and developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 6–9 years of software QA experience, including at least 3 years of mobile automation experience.
- Hands-on experience with Appium, Espresso, UIAutomator2, XCUITest, and TestNG or JUnit.
- Programming or scripting experience with Java, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, and GitHub.
- Experience with backend or API testing using Postman, JMeter, Charles Proxy, or similar tools.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate test automation while maintaining quality, reliability, and user safety.
- Professional working proficiency in English and strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with security, privacy, or medical device regulations such as HIPAA or GDPR is a bonus.
- Startup or high-growth product experience, ISTQB or CASTP certification, SQL and database validation experience, and SAFe experience are advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm for parallel cross-device testing is advantageous.
